This range is inspired by the beautiful Gower peninsula, where I have lived for many years, and enjoyed since childhood. The Gower Peninsula was Britain's first designated 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and famous views like the 'Mumbles' and the lighthouse at Mumbles head.
This headland records some of the highest windspeeds in the UK during a storm, and on a windy day when the sea swell is large, it can be as beautiful and dramatic as on a glorious sunny day. This tiny hand carved scene shows a stormy sea with waves crashing against the rocks, depicting the view at it's dramatic finest.
These pieces are designed as little wearable pieces of art, depicting tiny versions of landmark views and beaches from this stunning area. I have hand carved each scene, and chosen a solid heart shape as the base for each as these are places that are held in peoples hearts, and which hold precious memories for many.
These are wearable, tactile pieces to be treasured and enjoyed.
